Currents

  • Jeremy Shaw is a planner and urban designer specializing in master planning, station-area planning, public space activation and transportation - land use planning. His work maximizes pedestrian access as a means to revitalizing public spaces and seeks to balance access and mobility by all modes of transportation.

  • Most recently, Jeremy has been planning the 17-acre Balboa Reservoir and coordinating efforts of private developers, City College, and the City of San Francisco to create the Balboa Area TDM Framework. Other projects include the Bayshore Multi-modal Facility Study, a Public Space Stewardship Guide and design guidelines for the Schlage Lock master plan.

  • At Eisen | Letunic Jeremy planned bicycle access improvements for Bay Area Rapid Transit stations throughout the region. He also evaluated Climate Initiatives pilot projects for the MTC.

  • He led the Mission Community Market's proposal to transform a blighted street into a "shared public way" or woonerf. In addition to improving public safety, "La Placita" will benefit the the community through a civic design effort, public-private stewardship, youth jobs and a variety of community-serving events.

  • Jeremy has also researched and written on arterial street design, parking policies and shared streets. In the past, he has worked as a land-use transportation modeler and planner with Calthorpe Associates, the San Francisco County Transportation Authority, and Nelson Nygaard Consulting Associates.
